London/ Solihull (15/06/17) – UK Power Reserve is pleased to announce that Rachael Chambers, Development Officer, has been shortlisted as a ‘Rising Star’ in Energy UK’s Young Energy Professional Awards (YEP).

Since joining UK Power Reserve, Rachael has worked tirelessly alongside her colleagues in the Early Development Team to prepare for projects tendered in the UK’s Capacity Market Auctions. She has overseen a number of new initiatives for UKPR including implementing a new data management system which has saved time for her team and made the process of transitioning sites from the early development phase to the build out team smoother. Additionally, Rachael has streamlined internal procedures relating to site visits and noise monitoring and training (read more here) and is currently working towards becoming a Chartered Ecologist.

UK Power Reserve has an 823MW portfolio of small-scale generation assets and battery storage. It is building new capacity at the moment across England and Wales and it is critical that it has excellent processes in place to manage these development and operational sites, making Rachael’s contributions to the business particularly important.

Tim Emrich CEO and Founder of UK Power Reserve said: “I am delighted Rachael’s hard work has been recognised by leading energy industry group Energy UK. She has shown initiative, drive and ambition and I’m sure this is only the beginning of a very bright career. I wish her the very best of luck. We applaud Energy UK for driving these kinds of awards which encourage the celebration of young people in the energy industry. They are the future of the energy and we work hard to attract young people to our business. ”
